Welcome to Editionally!

My name is Sarah. I’m a classic Type A, first-born, highly sensitive INFJ. I work full-time as an editor/database administrator at a church Monday–Thursday, and I spend my Fridays writing, blogging, and editing (Need an editor?).

I hate . . .
going fast, physical activity, wearing socks, and worms.

I love . . .
books, trees, the Great Lakes, one-on-one conversations, good writing, and Jesus.

I spend too much time . . .
watching Netflix, thinking about writing (rather than doing it), and worrying about what other people think. I don’t spend enough time exercising, reading, or trusting God.

Most days you can find me . . .
listening to NPR podcasts or audio books from the library, crocheting, doing my nails (yay Jamberry!), and whining. (Perhaps that last one should be on the list of things I do too much?)

This is my husband, Jonathan. He’s a book-loving writer-type, too. But his focus is journalism—he’s the editor of a local paper.

ourwedding

We’ve been married since July 18, 2009. Before you ask—we don’t have any kids. Not because we don’t want them and not because we can’t have them, but because it’s just not time. Right now we spend our time loving on other people’s kids. We teach the preschoolers at church once a month and I like to pretend that Tori, my friend’s daughter, is mine. (Don’t worry, Liz—I know she’s yours.)

And this blog is Editionally. It started as a book review/writing blog and has morphed into a whatever-I-want-to-write-about blog. But you’ll still find plenty of posts about books and writing alongside pretty pictures and updates about what’s going on in our lives.

Stick around for a while.

Read some book reviews.
