Summer TBR Pile

I love to read year-round, but summer is really my reading season. Call me lazy, or just un-athletic, but since I hate physical activity and can’t tolerate much heat, I enjoy the warmer weather by finding a shady spot and diving into a good book. Here are some of the books I’m hoping to read this spring/summer. If you’ve read any of them, I’d love to hear your thoughts (but no spoilers, please!).

Blue Like Jazz is so good! It’ll really make you think! I’ve seen it mentioned a few times recently and it was so long ago that I read it, I think I may need to read it again. Little Women is one of my favorite classics. It was one of the many books my dad read to us as kids.

I managed to miss your comment, too – sorry! Jonathan read Blue Like Jazz a few years ago. It’s about time I caught up ;)

You got some winners there, for sure! Are they all first-time reads for you? I love everything Shauna Niequist has written, and Emily Freeman and Donald Miller are great as well (not to mention the classics! :) ).

Don’t know how I missed your comment before – sorry! They’re all first-time reads except for a few of the Katie Weldon books. But I didn’t finish the series and I don’t remember where I left off. Oh, and I got half way through To Kill a Mockingbird before I had to return it to its owner.
